This is an unsigned 32-bit application. It won't work on 10.15+, but you might still be able to recompile it from source. I haven't tried, though.
Windows comes (came?) with Minesweeper; Mac OS X does not (at least not in the version I have). I wanted to play Minesweeper, so I wrote a program to do so. This was back in 2006... now, in 2014, I've gotten around to updating the program and fixing some bugs and putting it on the website. (I also have Solitaire and Spider Solitaire lying around somewhere...)
This program has been tested on Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5) and Mavericks (10.9). I have a version for 10.4 somewhere, if anyone wants it... (Note: This program is not signed. You may have to right-click the program and click Open.)

By default, Minesweep works a lot like the version of Minesweeper that came with Windows XP (and it has the same difficulty settings). However, there are some other features, some of which can make the game easier if you enable them:
