The Truth: A collection of science fiction stories

Assignment: Read four specific science fiction stories, write stories based on prompts inspired by those stories, and print them all in a short book. (The class also had essays and tests about those stories, but I'm not putting those online.)

This is The Truth. If you're loking for "The TRUTH", see Lies.

Unless otherwise stated on the cover of this book, all stories in here are works of fiction. They should not be interpreted as fact, except for "Heisenberg Certainty Principle," which is an actual email.

Unfortunately, there are no works of friction in here. Friction is physics; physics is science. There should be more science fiction stories about friction. Maybe. Or maybe they'd just be boring.

So when I was looking into the future, I saw someone looking at this collection of stories, and being frustrated because they couldn't find the one they were looking for.

Okay, so I didn't see that, but here's a table of contents anyways. If you don't see any page numbers, write numbers at the bottom of each page, starting with 2 for this page. (The previous page, of course, is 1. If that bothers you, put a 1 there.) Be sure to put exactly one number per page and to have each page's number one more than the number on the previous page; otherwise, you'll end up at the wrong page.

(Actually, you'll probably end up at the wrong page anyways, because the formatting on this website is not exactly the same as the original print version.)
