Dreamt the night ending 2022-08-20
I was with my mom, walking through a foresty park. Then we went to a farm that was further from our house. My mom called my dad, and they talked about meeting him somewhere, and they decided on a different farm, in the other direction, that had the same name, as if they were a chain (like restaurants), so we went there and met my dad.
We were going just to visit as like a fun thing to do for the day, but somehow I knew that these farms were some sort of thing where it wasn't what it seems at first. Like, it wasn't a real farm, it was a place that someone could go for multiple days as some sort of entertain-ish thing (and stay overnight… I guess maybe like a farming-themed camp?). Everyone knew this part. But I also knew that at first it would seem to just be a camp where you learn how to farm for a few weeks, but then it would slowly reveal some sort of creepy dark secret, except the secret wasn't real, it was just for entertainment. I don't think my parents knew about the creepy part, but since we were just going for a day, I thought that shouldn't be enough time for the creepy stuff to start.
I was on the top floor of a three-story building in the second farm, along with my family. I thought about telling one of the people who worked there that me and mom had been to the other farm before, but dad hadn't, but I thought maybe I shouldn't do that since maybe then they'd start the creepy stuff.
There was a counter like in fast food places or coffee shops, going all the way across the room, and my mom ordered some sort of pastry, which was a cake with multiple thin layers, some of them chocolate, and the person working there slid it across the counter (slightly diagonally), and mom caught it, but it could have fallen to the floor, and when mom caught it the layers came apart a bit and became not-lined-up. This was the person being rude, which was supposed to be like an early sign that something was going on.
There was also a part where we were all in an elevator, trying to get to the third floor, and we did get to the third floor (and I think it was sort of manually controlled?), but somehow we were all sitting down in the elevator, with our legs forward, such that our feet were on the floor outside the elevator, and also our feet were under a table that was in the hall under the elevator. I was worried that we were stuck like this, and wouldn't be able to move the elevator since our legs would hit something, and wouldn't be able to get our legs out from under the table, and this was supposed to be another creepy thing. Someone said something about pushing the joystick in the opposite direction we wanted to move (even though the elevator was normally controlled with the D-pad), and somehow I saw a prompt with a picture of a joystick. Somehow we got out of this situation.
