Changing the size of the board

You can make the game easier or harder by changing the size of the board and the number of mines there are.

  1. Choose Minesweep > Preferences
  2. In the Difficulty pop-up menu, choose one of the presets, or type numbers in the boxes and press Return.

You can only save your best time if you choose one of the options from the Difficulty pop-up menu other than Custom.

Changes to the difficulty don't take effect until you choose Game > New.
