There are several possible reasons for this:
- If you used the Uncover All and Mark All options, or if you pressed the A or F keys, the computer will add ten seconds to your time.
- If you stopped playing for a while, the timer will keep going. You can pause the timer by choosing Game > Pause.
- If the computer is being slow, it may take longer for the program to realize you've won. Try quitting other applications. Quitting and re-opening Minesweep may also help.
