An x64 processor is screaming along at billions of cycles per second to run the XNU kernel, which is frantically working through all the POSIX-specified abstraction to create the Darwin system underlying OS X, which is turn is straining itself to run Virtual PC running Linux, which in turn is running Cygwin using Wine, which is running an emulator for a PDA, which is running an emulator for a game console, which is running a BASIC interpreter that's running a BASIC interpreter written in BASIC, that's running a simulation of a Turing machine.
All because I wanted to set some sort of record.
