Most clocks in Ḱĺk̀ are sociopaths. H̡́x́ T́ɱ́k̀r̃̀ (pronounced in English as "hux-AH tum-OH-ker"), who later took over Coculaght, is a particularly nefarious clock. (H̡́x́ T́ɱ́k̀r̃̀ is spelled "Hxa Tmocrh" in Coculaght.) He changed whenever he wanted to, making it always time to start school but never time to go home.

There were at one time good clocks in Ḱĺk̀, but they all became febrile or indigent, mostly because H̡́x́, who was in charge of the country, took away all their money so that they couldn't buy medicine. The ones who weren't sick or poor could never remember anything – even that H̡́x́ was a nimrod – because ginkgo biloba was illegal.

There was, however, one good clock left, but he was not in Ḱĺk̀. His name was (pronounced in English as "guh"), and he lived in Jellia̽ght, a small country on an island in Lake Donuthole which is on Mt. Donut (which is partly in Cocú̊la̽ght). He was not allowed to go into Ḱĺk̀ or get anything from Ḱĺk̀, which is bad because that's the only place they grow clock food – luscious hours and minutes and seconds for dessert.

Because was the only good clock, he was the only one who could try to start time after H̡́x́ stopped time, when nothing can happen so you'll have to read the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over (over)
